While best known for bodysurfing against the dramatic backdrop of Makapu’u Ridge, this site offers vibrant underwater scenery when conditions are calm. Caution is advised during entry and exit, as waves can make the area treacherous. The underwater terrain features a mix of rock and sand, with numerous nooks and crannies to explore along the eastern cliff wall. Further offshore, the seabed slopes steadily into the open water channel.
